Verify with an OTP
A one-time code confirms the number belongs to the patient. It stops appointments being booked in someone else's name and gives the clinic a number that reaches a real person.

Pay for the booking
Payment is taken against the appointment, and every rupee traces back to a server-side value rather than an amount the app decided on its own.
